Three Cheese Fondue Appetizer Board
Cheese Fondue:
1 cup dry white wine like a Sauvignon Blanc
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
7 oz. Gruyere cheese, shredded
7 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
7 oz. Emmentaler cheese, shredded
In a small saucepan over low heat, add the wine.
In a medium sized saucepan on medium heat, add the butter. Once the butter has melted, whisk in the flour. Whisk until it forms a thick paste. Add the wine into the mixture and whisk until smooth.
Gradually add in all three cheeses until melted. This will take 5 minutes.
Transfer cheese into a fondue pot. Keep warm over a low flame.
Items for dipping:
Apples, pears, cooked asparagus, cooked small red potatoes, bread, bread sticks, nuts, slices of smoked sausage and cured meats.
